Grants

Each year, the Peperzak Middle School PTG provides grants to support programs, resources, and experiences that enrich learning and strengthen our school community.

Your Support in Action

During the 2025–26 school year, the PTG awarded more than $7,500 in grants supporting programs, resources, and experiences throughout Peperzak. Grant funding helped provide:

  • Classroom book sets to support student learning and literacy
  • Band, choir, and orchestra programs, providing additional resources for Peperzak's student musicians
  • Drama and performing arts, including materials to transform the Commons into a performance space and funding to support student productions
  • National Junior Honor Society, funding Peperzak's first year of membership and supporting its inaugural student induction ceremony
  • Peperzak's inaugural Art Night, including local artist Chris Bovey as a special guest
  • Drill team uniforms to support student participation and school spirit
  • Motivational posters for the fitness center and mat room to create an encouraging environment for students
  • Leadership conference attendance to give student leaders opportunities to learn, grow, and bring new ideas back to Peperzak
  • A field trip to Second Harvest where students participated in a food build and experienced hands-on community service
  • And so much more!

Made Possible by Our Community

Every PTG grant is made possible through the generosity of Peperzak families, local businesses, and community supporters. Your donations and sponsorships allow us to say “yes” to more ideas that benefit students, support teachers and staff, and make the Peperzak experience even better.

Thank you for helping us invest in our students and school community!

Grant Spotlight: Bringing Theatre to Peperzak

Peperzak Middle School does not have a dedicated stage or performance space, but that hasn't stopped students from taking the stage!

PTG grant funding helped the Drama program transform the school Commons into a performance area, providing funds for stage materials, backdrop curtains, and other resources needed to create a space where students can perform. Grant funds also helped support the productions themselves, giving Peperzak students the opportunity to participate in live theater and share their talents with the school community.

It's a great example of how PTG grants can help turn creative ideas into meaningful experiences for Peperzak students.

Grant Spotlight: Supporting a Growing Drill Team

Last year, the Peperzak Drill Team experienced remarkable growth, expanding from a small group of dedicated students to more than 60 enthusiastic participants! The growth of the program reflects the incredible spirit and school pride of Peperzak students—but it also created a need for additional uniform accessories to ensure the growing team was ready to perform and compete.

PTG grant funding helped provide the uniform accessories needed for competitions and community performances, including the Junior Lilac Parade.

And they certainly made Peperzak proud—the team earned 1st place in the Drill Team category at the Junior Lilac Parade!

Grant Spotlight: Supporting Music at Peperzak

Music programs give students the opportunity to develop their talents, build confidence, and experience the excitement of performing together.

The PTG was proud to award $500 grants to each of Peperzak's Band, Orchestra, and Choir programs—a $1,500 investment in music education!

These funds helped meet the unique needs of each program, including the purchase of new marching percussion instruments, additions to the music library repertoire, and accompanist fees for student concerts.

By supporting Band, Orchestra, and Choir, PTG grants help ensure Peperzak students have the instruments, music, and resources they need to learn, perform, and share their talents with our school community.
